Anthony Lister’s Humble Origins

While Anthony Lister found significant success after moving to New York City, he grew up in Brisbane, Australia. Anthony Lister’s Most Prized Collaborative Work

He graduated in 2001 from Queensland College of Arts. In New York, Anthony Lister started his journey under the mentorship of Max Gimblett, a famous living artist from New Zealand. Max provided the necessary guidance that Anthony needed to climb the ladder.

Apart from multiple other collaborations, Anthony Lister loves being in an ongoing partnership with Roger Gastam, a curator. Gostam is the leader of the contemporary Urban Art movement. He has curated many shows, including Art in the Streets and Beyond the streets. The former was held at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.  

Apart from formulating a 356 page Ginko Press publication (Lister- Adventure Painter), Anthony Lister and Roger Gastam have held multiple successful collaborative exhibitions.

Besides currently working on the sixth major survey publication based on his practice and artwork, Anthony Lister likes to keep busy in his studios globally.
